MS Paint (Microsoft Paint) Windows का एक free built-in drawing program है। यह Windows के हर version में पहले से installed होता है। इससे हम simple drawings बना सकते हैं और images edit कर सकते हैं।

Canvas और Color Box

Canvas के बारे में
  • Canvas = वो सफेद area जहाँ drawing होती है
  • Size change: Resize button (Home tab) से
  • Corner/sides पर blue dots — drag करके size बदलें
  • Default size: 900 × 500 pixels
Color Box के बारे में
  • Color 1 (Foreground) — Left click से select
  • Color 2 (Background) — Right click से select
  • Edit Colors — custom RGB color बनाएं
  • Drawing: left click = Color 1, right click = Color 2

MS Paint की View Tab से हम drawing को बेहतर तरीके से देख और काम कर सकते हैं — Zoom, Rulers, Gridlines और Thumbnail सब यहीं मिलते हैं।

Gridlines का सबसे बड़ा फायदा
Gridlines on करने पर canvas पर squares दिखते हैं — इससे straight lines, symmetric shapes और pixel-perfect drawing बनाना बहुत आसान हो जाता है। Flag बनाते समय या table जैसी design के लिए हमेशा Gridlines on करें।

Text Tool — Image पर लिखें

MS Paint में Text Tool (T) से image पर कोई भी text लिख सकते हैं।

  • Text confirm होने के बाद move नहीं होता — confirm से पहले check करें
  • Transparent background option on करें — text के पीछे image दिखेगी
  • Hindi text के लिए keyboard को Hindi mode में switch करें
  • Undo: Ctrl+Z — गलती होने पर तुरंत दबाएं

  • Image बड़ी करने से quality कम होती है — original size से ज़्यादा बड़ा न करें

Practical Exercise — Passport Size Photo बनाएं

MS Paint से किसी भी photo को passport size में resize कर सकते हैं — यह Cyber Cafe में सबसे common काम है।

Passport Photo Standard Size
35mm × 45mm  =  413 × 531 pixels (300 DPI पर)  |  India के लिए: 2 inches × 2 inches = 600 × 600 pixels (Aadhaar/UPSC आदि)

Photo Open करें: MS Paint खोलें → Ctrl+O → अपनी photo select करें → Open

Photo देखें: नीचे Status Bar में current size note करें — जैसे "1200 × 1800 px"

Crop करें (ज़रूरत हो तो): Select tool → चेहरे के आस-पास area select करें → Home tab → Crop

Resize खोलें: Home tab → Resize button → Resize and Skew dialog box खुलेगा

Pixels select करें: Dialog में "Pixels" radio button पर click करें (Percentage नहीं)

Photo Resize Pro Tips
  • अगर photo blur हो जाए — original photo बड़ी होनी चाहिए, छोटी photo को बड़ा करने पर quality नहीं सुधरती
  • 6 passport photos एक A4 page पर print करने के लिए: Word में 2×3 grid बनाकर photos paste करें
  • हमेशा original photo backup रखें — edited version अलग नाम से save करें

Final Project — Birthday Poster बनाएं MS Paint में

यह Chapter 9 का final practical exercise है। इसमें हम MS Paint के सभी tools use करके एक simple birthday poster बनाएंगे — Drawing, Text, Shapes, Colors — सब एक साथ।

Exercise का लक्ष्य
एक Birthday Poster बनाना जिसमें: रंगीन background, बड़ा text, shapes (balloons/stars), और border हो। Time: 15-20 minutes

Canvas Size set करें: MS Paint खोलें → Home tab → Resize → Pixels → 800 × 600 → OK
